A mesmerizing spectacle illustrating the history of Branford from the melting of the northern glacial ice sheets to the present through light, music, narration, projections and the "light brigade" figures created by Branford High School students.

Izzy the Frog in Lumina Land 2004

An experimental exhibition that illustrated stories of the evolution of our relationship with toads and frogs as symbols of transformation through multicultural myths and as the species of warning of universal ecological breakdown.

A Decade of Magic: Izzy at the Beardsley Zoo 2004

PNM was very excited to explore this program for Izzy at the Beardsley Zoo to accompany the Izzy in Lumina Land exhibition at the Housatonic Museum in June 2004.

New Haven Symphony Orchestra 2003

Projects for a New Millennium partnered with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra to design a spectular evening of music and visual magic in Woolsey Hall on the Yale campus

Terra Alchemica 2002

Participants were invited to take a journey into the Stony Creek Quarry collecting clues about the geological sequence of events that created the granite that surrounds them.

Terra Lumina 2001

An illustrated history of the enquiry into light as presented in the Stony Creek Quarry. Performers included rock climbers in illuminated costumes, dancers, laser and theatrical light performances with water, fire, and mist. An original sound score accompanied by ambient frogs complimented the visual effects.

HOT Schools Summer Institute

Higher Order of Thinking Teacher Training Summer Institute 2001 Sponsored by the Connecticut Commission on the Arts. A four day workshop with State Geologist, visual artist, poet, dancer, and musician culminating in an original performance of the geological history of Connecticut.

Navigation Through Time 2000

The geological and social history of the Connecticut Shoreline presented as a multimedia performance in the round using lasers, theatrical lighting, dancers, singers, and musicians at the University of Connecticut, Avery Point.

Heart of the Matter 1999 & 2000

Workshops for kids on the New Haven, CT green during the International Festival of Art and Ideas using straws to make geometric form hats.

Terra Continuum 1999

A major light, sound and theater project performed in the Stony Creek, CT quarry telling the story of human inquiry from the Big Bang to String Theory.

Time Sun & Shadow 1998

A curated exhibition at the historic Draper Cottage in Hastings on Hudson, NY of sundials and time keepers by international artists accompanied by teacher training, student project, and a sundial design competition for children in the Hastings and Dobb's Ferry, NY, school districts.

The Shapes of the Wind 1998

A program in Livingston, MT which included a curated exhibition, middle school program and presentations by writers, architects, artists, scientists, and community members who consider the effects of wind in their work.

The Shapes of Time and Tide 1997

An exhibition of works by artists, scientists, writers, and architects from across the country curated for the Mystic Art Association, CT.

Accompanying programs included astronomy, Native American story telling, and theories of ART/SCIENCE.

A Celebration of Branford Waters 1997

  • Presentations by environmental groups, historians, musicians, astronomers, and poets, culminating with the arrival of a historic schooner and laser light on sprays of water.
